Latin American and Iberian Studies is an interdisiciplinary
program offering the Bachelor of Arts within the College of Letters and Science. Undergraduates may pursue the Major or Minor; qualified students may undertake an Honors program.

At the graduate level, students pursue the Master of Arts. Students do not have to hold a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American and Iberian Studies to enter the graduate program; however, students are expected to be able to do research in either Spanish or Portuguese.

Latin American and Iberian Studies sponsors lectures, films, music and dance performances by distinguished scholars and artists.

An annual Spring Quarter student conference gives graduating Honors students and candidates for the Master of Arts the opportunity to present their research findings in their thesis.
