Prof. Miroslava Chavez-Garcia has Published a Book!

The LAIS Program congratulates Professor Miroslava Chavez-Garcia who co-authored with Yvette Martínez-Vu, Is Grad School for Me?: Demystifying the Application Process for First-Gen BIPOC Students. It has been published with the University of California Press this April of 2024. The book offers first generation, low-income, and nontraditional students of color with various step-by-step processes on how to navigate the admissions process before, during, and after applying.
